Martin wowed everyone in the 2010 BatFred.com World Championship, with his match play against Neil robertson, the first half of the match belonged to Martin. Though it all crumbled in the second match when Neil came back from 11-5 down to win 13-12. MMartin went on to make a large impact on the PTC matches, making it to the final against Dominic Dale, which ended with Dominic winning the match. Martin also made it the the finals of the PTC big televised match in Belfast where after a comfortable wwin over michael Holt, he faced Shaun Murphy. Murphy won leaving Gould 4-0.
